MARIA MORE :The Perfect Blend of Sight & Sound...

Maria "More," The Perfect Blend of Sight and Sound, has dedicated much of her time and talent to the radio broadcasting industry. A vibrant personality, witty character, sincere desire to succeed, and genuine LOVE for music, have positioned Maria to relate to her listening audience at all levels.

Both passionate and eager to pursue a career in radio, Maria began her journey in 1997, at Florida A&M University where she earned a shift on the campus radio station.Less than three months after her first on-air shift, Maria was personally recruited by Terri Thomas, who(at that time) hosted middays at the local Urban Station, WHBX-FM 96.1 Jamz. Under the direction of broadcasting vets, Hurricane Dave and Terri Thomas, Maria grew in her craft working weekends and swing/fill-in shifts.

In 2003, an opportunity arose for Maria to enhance her radio experience. A format shift introduced a new Urban Mainstream Station to the market and Maria was able to quickly secure a weekend shift at WWLD-FM Blazin' 102.3 while maintaining her full-time job with the United Way and earning her MBA from Florida State University. In 2005, the opportunity became available for Maria to take her love for radio to the next level by becoming the new Midday Host on WWLD-FM. Maria More garnered top ratings in the station’s target demographic with an amazing 16.6 share P18-34 Spring 2007 Book. She even increased the market share from Mornings to Middays by 4%.

By the end of the Summer of 2007, Maria was recruited by Pamal Broadcasting in Gainesville/Ocala, Florida to hold the Midday Position at WTMG-FM Magic 101.3. The beginning of 2008 inspired Maria to pursue opportunities that would advance her career. With the help of a direct referral from Industry Legend, Elroy Smith, Maria was invited by Steve Hegwood, Urban Programming Veteran, to audition for the Midday Slot at WHTA-FM Hot 107.9, one month later, she made her debut in Atlanta, GA, a top 10 radio market! Additionally, Maria is the imaging talent for "Loveland" which airs 6 nights a week on Philadelphia's 100.3 FM The Beat. Maria More is an advocate for the empowerment of ALL people and strives to provide not only an entertaining delivery on air, but one that leaves a positive impression on all who hear her voice. Maria More KNOWS and LIVES the Hip-Hop lifestyle! She is ambitious and committed to making a significant impact in the industry and she continues to reach even higher!
